Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean and Asia. Traditionally it is used to flavour lamb dishes and used in the stuffing of chickens and turkey’s. Rosemary has a reputation of improving memory. It is also used as a tea and infused as a hair rinse.
During wedding ceremonies in the Middle Ages the bride would wear a headpiece made from rosemary and the groom a sprig of rosemary. Hence rosemary was thought to be a love charm.
